I have over 15 years experience in the Construction/Engineering Industry serving as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Human Resources and Customer Service Representative.  I have provided my administrative assistance for mostly the Construction and Engineering field for most of my career.  I am a very quick learner and enjoy training in any areas that support my role with the company I was currently employed with. 

During my career, I was responsible for answering phones, correspondence/letters to Clients, Customer Service in all my positions.  I have some HR experience with payroll, vacation/sick pay and union dues.  With Murray Smith & Associates Engineering, which I was employed for over 10 years, I learned AutoCad, I was responsible for all correspondence, scheduling of appointments/Conference Room, legal descriptions, map notes, blue prints and attending BIA meetings.  The following page has a synopsis of my work experience.

JR Conkey Construction (Temporary Assignment) – Receptionist Duties:  Answered phones, made labels, helped the Controller with filing/organizing/alphabetizing files and some accounting duties. 

 

Tricorp Hearn Construction (Temporary Assignment) – I assisted the bid department with bidding for construction projects. I helped organize their bid mail information.  I did data entry and updated their database with current information on bidding companies.  I did filing and organizing their bid binders.

While working with Willdan Engineering, I worked at the City of Elk Grove in the Public Works Department.  I scheduled, prepared all paperwork and attended all pre-con meetings for any new construction and development in the City of Elk Grove.  I was in charge of all SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) requirements and duties.  Helped answer phones on our Customer Service line.   I would be responsible for starting a new project from the beginning to the end of the warranty process through the City of Elk Grove.   I processed them in and out of warranty within a year including creating a file for Storm Water and general information, all correspondence, letters and basic filing of all pertinent project information.  I called each client that had a storm water system and made sure they were following the guidelines in keeping the unit cleaned as required.  I worked on special projects as needed and requested.  Inputted data entries into our H.T.E. program and spreadsheets.  Answered any questions and inquiries regarding construction and road closures to the public and clients.  Sent out a weekly notice for any street closures and distributed it to all affiliates within the City of Elk Grove.  I also was the Fleet Manager.  I was responsible for all service records, keeping all vehicles up to date on all maintenance, car washes and warranties for each company vehicles.
