Summary
Responsible for assisting the Project Engineer with the conceptual design, sizing, and materials selection for complex components, complete units and portions of hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
Conducts failure investigations and assists in troubleshooting of hydraulic pumps, motors, actuators and valves in a fast-faced production environment.
Coordinates activities of the project team to accomplish tasks within schedule and budget constraints.
Develops Qualification and Acceptance test plans.
Interfaces with customer on a regular basis.
Supports development and verification testing.
Produces detailed proposals, in cooperation with the Manager, Project Engineering.
Ability to work efficiently to meet development deadlines.
Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements
Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.
Qualifications
Competencies
Read, understand, and effectively write English.
Effective verbal communications in English with the ability to explain complex engineering principles in common language.
Effective time management.
Effective project management skills.
Required education, certification, and experience
Bachelor s Degree, from an accredited university, in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering; or the equivalent of direct and applicable experience in one of these fields.
One year experience as an engineer in the Aerospace or similar industry.
Physical demands
May require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds
Standing up to eight (8) hours per day, sitting up to eight (8) hours per day, or a combination of sitting and standing.
Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions. All inquiries related to citizenship are asked solely to comply with ITAR and EAR export licensing requirements.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
