Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities Supervises the work of others and manages the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team Develops and maintains progress reports with the project team in order to inform management of program and project status Review Contractor's CPM schedules to verify compliance with specified project requirements, constraints, milestone dates, and completeness Analyzes critical path and project constraints to determine any impact from changes of schedule; create recommendations for workarounds Performs CPM Time Impact Analysis (TIAs) using various methods of analysis, and assists project team in negotiating settlements with Contractors Prepares Schedule Variance Reports Develops and maintains project and construction schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects of various types Monitors and actively participates in project and program scheduling issues while administering best practices and standards Obtains accurate and timely program schedule updates from project teams and performs QA/QC on information received Creates and develops conceptual what-if schedules for multiple project types including large complex multi-year projects Performs Critical Path analyses and Earned Value analyses Prepares ad-hoc reports and analyses as directed by management Coordinates and attends program and project scheduling and construction progress meetings Ability to represent Vanir and related entities in a professional manner at all times to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture OR Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in any course, but with additional two (2) years of experience in Construction Scheduling to compensate for the required education 8 years of full-time paid professional experience in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably working on justice, corrections, healthcare and/or educational facilities or public works projects.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) preferred Thorough understanding of construction contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications Knowledge of Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery methodologies High proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office Suite, and able to mentor others Ability to build effective working relationships with project teams and department staff Excellent written and verbal communication skills Superior organizational and planning skillsHow to ApplyIf you're interested in working for Vanir Construction Management, Inc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
