Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes planning, leading, coordinating, reviewing, and providing engineering technical guidance and leadership for all aspects of design and construction for water resource projects; and preparing engineering studies, designs, calculations, and analysis along with developing contract plans and specifications as required for the construction of civil works (water resources) projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Selective Placement Factor:
This position requires the possession of a current Professional Engineer (PE) registration issued by any State in the United States, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
