Support Services Supervisor

The primary duties of this position are:
Serves as Division Chief supervising and directing the full range of administrative support services including property management, space management, aviation management, fleet management, tort claims, relocation services, records management, library services, mail distribution, drawing records, visual information, web design, duplicating and printing, building security, occupant emergency planning, and meeting coordination. -Plans and directs the development, coordination and implementation of an overall comprehensive administrative management support services program for the Region. Performs short and long range planning to improve services and operations. -Studies organizational requirements and formulates goals, strategies, program priorities and administrative polices to provide the maximum efficiency of service. -Serves as second level supervisor over Administrative Management Services. Manages and directs administrative management programs through subordinate supervisors. The staff consists of various administrative, technical and support personnel. -Serves as the principal advisor to the Region on administrative management services. Personally conducts periodic meetings with Regional and Area Office management to conduct long term planning of customer services and education of personnel on Branch services. -Monitors organizational, mission and program changes to integrate Region-wide activities and to identify and assess changing requirements. Performs short and long range planning to improve services and operations. -Reviews, interprets and comments on higher headquarters policies, procedures, reports and audits concerning administrative management activities. GS-13:
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 in Federal service. Specialized experience at this level is defined as:
professional experience as a management analyst or other work that included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices, and procedures; Administrative Officer, budget administration, program analysis, or other work that demonstrated knowledge of an organization and its functions, and the ways in which support services can facilitate the work of the organization; office management experience that included responsibility for directing a variety of support services such as typing, mail processing, purchasing of supplies and equipment. These examples are not all inclusive. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Applicants will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
