Summary: Manage Field Sales dealing with the After Market and all products and services covered by Division-Industry. Focus is on end user locations. Some direct contact with OEMs and Engineering firms is anticipated.
Essential Functions:
Provide direct, site support within the assigned region for Division-Industry products and services in achieving the objectives outlined by group management including but not limited to:
Customer Profiles
Identification of Voith installed base
Customer Maintenance Planning
Project Management
Promote sales of spare parts, services and complete units including retrofit opportunities.
Development of Service Agreements and Service Exchange programs
Provide field support for service department in areas of customer quoting and follow-up
Work with Service Operations and Field Service to establish schedules for field and in house repairs.
Develop and update Installed equipment database, Visit Logs and Outlook Contacts.
Provide sales support for direct sales through authorized, independent sales representative and distributor organization.
Participate at trade show exhibits
Work as part of a Division Industry Service team to achieve sales and service objectives
Manage special projects assigned by the Supervisor or Group Management
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Technical Degree from a two-year college or university
5 years related experience in the industrial distribution field
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience providing customer service support via visits, telephone and e-mail
Good organizational skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple independent tasks including but not limited to forecasting and CRM.
Good communication skills, both oral and written; ability to clearly and concisely relay information to customers through both quotations and phone conversations
Experience managing customer contact and projects for multi-faceted organization
Good interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain successful working relationships within the company, with the group team, and with customers
Good technical writing skills
