Staff Accountant
An Environmental Consulting firm in the Sacramento area is seeking a Staff Accountant/Experienced Bookkeeper.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing with federal contracts
o Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements for management review
o File and maintain all appropriate contracts and documents relating to clients and vendors
o Assist with development of cost proposal spreadsheets
o Prepare reconciliation, allocations, accruals, etc.
o Document procedures and ensure accounting practices are in accordance with local and federal requirements
Job Requirements/
Qualifications:
o 3-5 years of related accounting experience
o Associate Degree in accounting or business administration
o Strong proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software, expert with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
o Experience with local government or federal contracts
