Prestigious, numerous award winning, and thriving Architectural firm specializing in the design of buildings for public use actively seeks highly skilled and experienced Project Architect / Architectural Project Manager to transition into a future firm Principal Architect level role within our Sacramento offices Healthcare (OSHPD) or Higher Education project studio. Overall Architectural Qualification and Experience Needed:
1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or closely related field is strongly preferred but not required.
2. Current Registration as a State Licensed Architect is required.
3. Minimum of 8 to 10
years of professional architectural industry experience.
4. Must have strong leadership abilities and the potential to one day transition into a firm Principal level role. As our firm continues to grow we are looking for our next wave or generation of leaders.
5. Must be energetic, well spoken, articulate, passionate about our profession, and have the ability to lead and motive others.
6. Must have strong client interaction and relationship building skills. Must have the ability to perform client service presentations and articulate our firms past skills and experience.
7. Must have Architectural Project Management skills and experience; the ability to oversee and manage designated projects from origin and concept through completion.
8. Must have considerable to significant Architectural project experience pertaining to the Healthcare market project sector pertaining to Hospitals, Medical Centers, Surgical Centers or Higher Education (College, University, School) projects (IS REQUIRED)
9. Must be self motivated and eager to take on increasing responsibility to later transition into a firm Principal Level Role within our Healthcare Project Studio.
Principal Architect / Licensed Architect Role and
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Principal Architect / Licensed Architect includes independently coordinating the work of Project Architects, Architectural Job Captains, and Architectural Drafters and the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout the entire projects development; from concept to completion. Architect will reinforce or establish client relations, and is involved with the marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts schematic design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with Project Architect and other disciplines. Is responsible to coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Is responsible to track the financial aspects of the projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule. Works with the Regional Controller and the Managing Principal for project reviews with corporate management on an as needed basis.

Salary / Compensation:
Our firm provides a highly competitive base salary package plus quarterly cash performance bonus program. We also offer excellent holiday, vacation, medical, and dental benefits; plus 401(k) and retirement. Salary will be based on overall candidate qualifications and experience level. Open to negotiation.
