Director, Global Quality

We are a global organization with a mission to provide high-quality animal models and services to our customers.
As part of our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, we are currently looking for a Director of Global Quality to lead our Quality Assurance efforts across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate should have experience as a progressive hiring manager and demonstrated success in building and leading a high performing team.
Additionally, the candidate will have proven experience in the ability to quickly assess business deliverables and build a cohesive and impactful business plan that will positively impact and inform the build of a Quality Management System (QMS).
Key
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive global quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
Maintain quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Lead audits, CAPAs and supplier management programs.
Monitor and analyze metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the business unit, operations, project management and customer service.
Lead the quality assurance team in the area of continuous learning incorporating Lean practices.
Develop and deliver training programs associated with quality assurance best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's degree in a scientific field, advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience in quality assurance with a minimum of 6 years in a leadership role preferred.
Demonstrated experience in building a Quality Management System in a start up or established business and leading the business through ISO or similar certification.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally; a known bridge-builder.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Willing to relocate within 100 miles of Bar Harbor Maine or Sacramento CaliforniaExperience as an auditee, 10 or more auditsExperience in QMS software design deploymentASQ Certifications required:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
