This fully remote position involves direct management of compliance across the Authority s Program Central Valley Section and involves collaborating with a team of geologists, engineers, environment scientists, and business specialists.
They are looking for candidates with a strong background in environmental compliance with an extensive focus on environmental regulatory permitting.

Able to work within the Pacific Standard Time zone! Pay Range:
$35 - $65/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
Direct, mentor, and oversee the environmental compliance team Develop and manage an environmental permitting compliance program Facilitate agency relationships for permit amendments and compliance resolution Establish information flow systems among Authority Headquarters, project managers, and regional environmental teams Manage and mentor direct reports and deputies assisting with responsibilities Ensure consistent project construction/delivery and compliance documentation across project sections Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction projects with a focus on environmental compliance Must have extensive experience with regulatory permitting, including:
Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 401 (Water Quality Certification) CWA Section 402 (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, NPDES) CWA Section 404 (Dredge and Fill Permits) Engagement with State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCBs), and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Familiarity with California Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations (CDFW), Section 1602 and Section 2081 of the Fish and Game Code Coordination with the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS, Section 7);and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA/NMFS) regulations Proficiency in managing compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Experience with cultural resource regulations including NHPA Section 106 compliance Bachelor s degree in environmental studies, natural resource management, wildlife biology, anthropology, or similar area of study Strong team player with the ability to think outside the box and exhibit political acumen and emotional intelligence in working with diverse teams and stakeholders Proficient in MS Office 365
