OVERVIEW We are looking for a detail-oriented commercial construction estimator to advise on the foreseeable cost of each of our major developments.
To this end, the construction estimator should obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate building materials, and secure favorable prices on all resources.
You should also inspect trends in construction to determine whether your estimates are both reasonable and competitive.
The commercial construction estimator will be responsible for collaborating with the design team, using the data collected, to ensure instability and product availability on all future projects.
To ensure success as a construction estimator, you should be able to translate project requirements into concrete figures with ease.
A top-notch commercial construction estimator will adhere to financial constraints without compromising on our high standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Support engineering on designs for instability during the development process
Support sales with cost assumptions to enter new states and markets
Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
Create labor estimates for any project
Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
Follow current market trends and cost for materials.

Provide current material cost to keep assumption tools up to date
Review project layout and single lines at cd30 with the engineering team.
Provide technical guidance based on current market trends for streamlined installability
Analyze contractor capacity to collaborate with build partners, providing an early view to forecasted KW for maximized bandwidth and coverage across quarterly goals.

Review bids for scope coverage and margin integrity.
Identify and flag cost abnormalities in return bids.

Analyze historical bid data to present cost trends to management to forecast rising cost of future deployments
Present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
Compiling and recording actual costs REQUIREMENTS

years' experience working as a Construction Estimator or other similar position
5
years commercial experience
2
years of Multi Family experience
Electrical experience required, working with vendors and contractors
Advanced experience using research methodologies? data analysis and estimation metrics
Knowledge of accounting and project management concepts
Practical experience with software like SFDC, Google, ETC
Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Good organizational skills and high reliability
Additional qualification such as Certified Professional Estimator will be a bonus
Experience building trainings, SOPs, and processes
Ability to drive consensus amongst different departments and organizations
Highly proficient with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Gmail, Adobe Acrobat Pro
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels and departments of the organization
Ability to handle complex scopes of work with no supervision.
As well as assist other employees with complex scopes of work
Strong understanding of current material and trade labor costs within the industry
Ability to make judgment calls on pricing and when to adjust custom internal pricing with no supervision
Ability to lead the team and address concerns when leadership is unavailable
Handle escalations with no supervision
Qualified to train new hires on electrical, roofing, and structural
Ability to create and implement new processes and procedures
Proficient ability in finding creative solutions to avoid upgrades PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The salary range for this opportunity is $87,850- $117,050.
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
