Is currently seeking a Director of Recovery in Business Development with a proven sales and program management track record in disaster recovery programs including the FEMA Public Assistance Program, HUD's Community Development Block Grant Program, U.
S.
Treasury, as well as other state and federal programs.
In this role, the selected candidate will market Tetra Tech disaster recovery programs and consulting services to other businesses in the disaster recovery space and to federal government clients.
Providing enhanced visibility and routine follow-up with our current clients and ensuring that projects are meeting expectations.
Specific activities associated with this position shall include:
Manage aspects of business development and client relations including performing market assessments, client identification, and matching client needs with Tetra Tech technical capabilities Foster new and existing Tetra Tech client relationships with other businesses within the industry with an emphasis on expanding Tetra Tech's disaster recovery client base nationally Develop business opportunities that meet Tetra Tech sales goals and objectives at a national or regional level Support and guide the development of effective capture strategies for targeted opportunities and be able to increase sales and operations across our chosen end markets Meet assigned goals and work closely with Tetra Tech technical staff to deliver high-quality, cost-effective work products for our clients Preparing proposals, project cost estimates, and client interview documents Successfully assist target clients in the planning and timely implementation of their projects Communicate with senior leadership staff from clients including elected officials.
Interface with federal, state, and local officials as required to support clients' needs Identify and resolve issues and conflicts Support other Tetra Tech staff assigned to projects Can work remotely with travel required
Qualifications:

years of in-depth and hands-on knowledge of emergency management, FEMA programs, regulations, and implementation required.

years of managing preferably a state or federal department or division including all associated responsibilities Must have proven track record of leading emergency management and disaster operations Has strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment Must be a strong technical writer At least 5 years of experience delivering/selling consulting services (organically or through new growth) to federal government customers with an established and current network of professional and customer contacts.
Understanding of competitor landscape Excellent presentation and written communication skills in a variety of sales settings, including demonstrated experience selling to federal government clients.
Considerable attention to detail.
Focus on results; strong desire to achieve objectives despite challenges.
Self-sufficient using computer and database tools.
Good organizational, research & problem-solving skills.
Can-do approach to tasks and conscientious towards client service.
Preferred Qualifications 10
years of experience in a leadership position responsible for executing related programs within Federal or state government.
Professional licenses and/or certifications (Certified Emergency Manager, PMP, Certified Planner, etc.
) SME-level advisory confidence in FEMA PA, HUD CDBG-DR, and/or FEMA HMGP, ideally when representing applicants to those federal programs.
Salary range for this position is $120k - $150k per year.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
