Security Analyst The Information Security Analyst serves as a specialist in the development, implementation and administration of internal security functions including maintaining security requirements.
This role analyzes security policies, processes and procedures and verifies adherence to those controls.
You'll be responsible for monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents and ensuring their successful resolution.
Additionally, you will research and produce detailed reports on potential threats as well as assist in the development of in depth run books and standard procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor, track and correlate security data Raise and triage security alerts Follow, and advise on improvements to, security playbooks Respond to low criticality incidents independently Escalate security events to more senior analysts Support scheduled system security maintenance tasks Act as a troubleshooting resource with respect to all aspects of network and security Analyze, research and report on best practices around network and security related services Perform and respond to ad hoc malware scans Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Basic Knowledge of Network Defense Basic Knowledge of Ethical Hacking Basic Knowledge of Incident Response standards and methodology Basic Knowledge of Computer Forensics Basic Knowledge of Reverse Engineering Basic Proficiency with Python, PHP, Perl, SQL, RegEx REQUIREMENTS 1
years of experience working within information security Ability to work independently, document work performed daily and provide relevant updates to managers.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication ability.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
Analytical and critical thinking Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization Ability to handle multiple priorities or tasks Self-starter and quick learner Detail-oriented Active listener Ability to collaborate and work autonomously Flexible and adaptable PREFERRED Comptia A+, Security+, Network+, Linux
or equiv Preferred Knowledge of LANs, WANs, SANs, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, Linux operating systems, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle.
Knowledge in secure coding practices, ethical hacking and threat modeling Demonstrated initiative to continuously stay apprised of emerging security threats and the general information security landscape.
In-depth understanding of a variety of network and application attacks.
Recommended Skills Active Directory Group Active Listening Adaptability Administration Analytical Attention To Detail Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
