The mission of the Board is to ensure the health and safety of California consumers by promoting ethical standards and by enforcing the laws of the barbering and beauty industry.
The Board employs a large and diverse team of technicians, field inspectors, analysts, and managers.
Staff is responsible for the licensing, examinations, inspections, and enforcement of the beauty industry.
The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology is currently recruiting for an Associate Governmental Program Analyst or Staff Services Analyst to process appeals and coordinate Disciplinary Review Committee hearings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
