Sacramento, CA Sacramento, CA Full-time Full-time Up to $26 an hour Up to $26 an hour 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a competent Help Desk Technician to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems.
You will answer queries on basic technical issues for internal staff, and provide assistance in solving these issues.
You will also be responsible for communicating and tracking all issues submitted to our third-party network and point of sale systems support companies.
As a Help Desk Technician you must be well-versed in computer and network systems.
The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.
Communication skills are also important as you will be required to communicate issues and solutions to internal staff and external vendors with varying levels of computer expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other Duties may be assigned to meet business needs):
Set up hardware and networking equipment, and install and configure software as needed.
Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance over the phone or email relating to computer or point of sale problems.
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by staff.
Walk the staff through the problem-solving process.
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
Track bugs relating to our point of sale for communication and follow up on resolution.
Pass on any feedback or suggestions by staff to the appropriate internal team.
Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures and systems.
Track hardware inventory, and ensure replacements are made as necessary.
Order and cancel phones as needed.
Maintain inventory of unused phones.
Assist in developing documentation for training systems usage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a help desk technician Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products Ability to diagnose and resolve basic to intermediate technical issues Proficiency in English Excellent communication skills Customer-oriented and cool-tempered Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The person may be expected to lift up to 50 lbs or more with assistance.
Person will be expected to use a ladder to install out of reach items.
