About the JobAt JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions.
Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning.
In this role, you will work directly with one of our clients, acting as an embedded extension of their in-house sustainability team.
As a member of the JLL Sustainable Operations team with a deep knowledge of the needs of our client's program, you will own the implementation of the energy and sustainability management strategy and supporting processes, programs, targets, reports, and projects.
You will ensure program integration and implementation across impacted business/functions to achieve scope of work delivery and goals.
This role will oversee the execution of management programs in order to effectively monitor and measure consumption and achieve savings, while maintaining effective system operability.
This position requires location in the U.
S.
west coast, preferably Sacramento, CA.

The following duties are typical for this classification.
Candidates may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices:
Conducts and/or coordinates ASHRAE LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 on site audits Manages the energy benchmarking and assessment; and analyze energy consumption metrics to identify opportunities and create control plans to sustain energy savings Maintains client's EnergyStar portfolio, ensures accurate data is being reflected within the database, and all applicable mandated annual reporting is completed Manage the energy, waste, and water data collection process within JLL's technology platform and produce monthly and quarterly reports that are tailored to meet our clients' specific requirements Manages the identification and prioritization of energy capital projects, operational changes and physical plant upgrades that result in reduced energy consumption Provides clear and concise reporting of all energy and sustainability activities on prescribed intervals or as requested by client Actively participates and presents findings and recommendations to the client Develops various reports for site management, client, and regulatory groups Establishes a positive rapport with staff and management to ensure a high level of customer service Identifies available utility incentives and rebates which could significantly influence projects and funding decisions Works with facilities teams in the field to establish best practices for operating facilities in the most energy efficient manner Manages utility bill auditing and recovery activities Participates in utility supplier RFP process to ensure client receives optimal contract pricing Partners with each facility in the portfolio to identify energy reduction opportunities at their sites Participates and supports the development of 3/5/10 Year Capital Project Plans Maintains working knowledge and ensures compliance with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and any other relevant amendments or appendices which guide JLL's relationship with the client Supports annual Facilities Operations Capital equipment forecast/budget process Develop annual utility budgets and provide monthly variance reports between performance and budget Serve as subject manner expert for new technology proposal reviews Manage client utility accounts to assure accuracy and assists in recovery activities Interacts directly with the utility and serves as the main point of contact for client utility relationships Collaborates with other JLL energy and sustainability professionals to learn best practices and publish best practices developed on client account for the benefit of all firm clients Complies with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice Sound like you? Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
BA/BS in Math, Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Sustainability/Energy; LEED accreditation preferred Working knowledge of building automation and control systems Working knowledge of central plants and supporting systems Familiar with Monitoring Based Commissioning (MBCx) systems Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting Experience presenting information to all levels of management Experience with utility rebate programs.
Strong written and oral communication skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with sophisticated analyses of large databases Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in managing simultaneous complex tasks from inception to successful completion Strong technical skills with the ability to learn new applications quickly Ability to work virtually across multiple geographies, as needed Well-versed in the effective use of technology and tools using related Software Tools:
WebEx, MS Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint Desired Certifications / Licenses:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.
LEED Accreditation desired Engineer in Training (EIT) desired Certified Energy Manager (CEM) highly desired.
Six Sigma certification or equivalent ISO experience and training preferred.

Work Schedules:
Most account staff work full time, M-F based on account needs.
Required Travel:
Travel to client Headquarters and client locations is a requirement for this position.
On site activities can include but are not limited to:
client meetings, training, utility audits, and vendor support.
Travel will approximately be 10 - 30%.
