8K a year PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS (list in order):
Adheres to and promotes the Company's safety rules and policies.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work area throughout the plant.
Participates in Lean Six Sigma process by volunteering for LSS projects and promotes the company safety program by following all safety regulations.
Possess product knowledge with the ability to easily recognize sizes, colors, and gauges accurately and consistently.
Starts/Stops machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine and reports malfunction and or if adjustments are required to supervisor.
Inspects material during production for quality, quantity, length and color.
Insures that ISP charts are properly completed.
Insures the accuracy of all paperwork turned in to inventory.
This includes batch cut line reports, ISP chart, coil change logs and back order forms.
Properly records material usage and insures that scrap is placed in its proper color coded cart.
Helps line loader with loading coils on payoff using an electric hand jack.
Keeps equipment/area clean and free of debris daily.
Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform this job successfully.
Equivalent job-related experience might be substituted for educational degree(s).
The person selected for this position must have the following qualifications The aptitude for processing paperwork; Must be able to regularly lift or move 25 lbs, frequently move up to 40 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds.
a thorough knowledge in product identification; skills to assist in various job tasks with a high degree of accuracy; Language Skills - Ability to read and write Basic English is needed.
Mathematical Skills - Basic Math is required; Ability to interpret a tape measure, calipers and micrometer is required.
Competent in use of saws and power tools is needed.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is needed.
Experience Required 6 months prior experience as a Machine Operator Education Preferred High School or better.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
