The Crime Analyst (CA) II serves as a subject matter expert on the entire arrest and disposition lifecycle.
The CA II maintains criminal history records, trains other staff in criminal history maintenance procedures, and performs quality assurance and data verification; ensures successful maintenance of the statewide criminal history repository and its integrity.
The CA II expresses ideas and facts to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others; writes correspondence and reports clearly and concisely; maintains records; demonstrates courtesy, tact, and empathy; effectively evaluates situations and problems; gathers and evaluates pertinent information; identifies and evaluates alternatives and takes an effective course of action.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
