Sacramento, CA Sacramento, CA Full-time Full-time $25 - $30 an hour $25 - $30 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago We are seeking a Esthetics Education Leader who is an expert in all technical disciplines and a passionate and experienced teacher and mentor with exceptional leadership skills and real world experience in the salon industry.
The ideal candidate will either have experience in education within a Paul Mitchell school or a strong commitment to learn and follow the Paul Mitchell systems and culture.

Responsibilities:
Working with Specialists and other Learning Leaders to implement and inspect Paul Mitchell curriculum and systems in all classrooms, including the Clinic Classroom.
Teaching specialty classes, theory classes, and professional development classes and actively coaching and modeling on the Clinic Classroom as a way of promoting first-class cosmetology education throughout the school.
Working knowledge of California State Board of Barbers and Cosmetology rules and regulations and Esthetics theory, including ability and willingness to teach State Board classes and to train Learning Leaders in this area.
Actively coaching and mentoring Learning Leaders to ensure the highest quality educational experience in every classroom, including the Clinic Classroom, and the highest standards of professional conduct among both staff and Future Professionals.
Advising Esthetics Learning Leaders on career path and development opportunities.
Create monthly education calendar and daily education plans and reviewing all lesson plans to ensure the content is complete/appropriate and that the teaching methods are engaging and inclusive of all learning styles.
In concert with Specialists, preparing the Education Team for certifications and actively participating in and supervising certifications.
Actively mentoring/tutoring Future Professionals and working to provide them with extra educational opportunities and exceptional guest artists.
Providing leadership and motivation for the Education Team and Future Professionals in order to maintain a positive, inspiring, and fun learning environment at all times.
Modeling the Paul Mitchell/Esani technical systems, culture, and positive professional habits for staff and Future Professionals.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess California Esthetics License; instructor training or education experience a plus.
Highly proficient in all technical cosmetology disciplines - especially including haircutting, color, texture/styling, and preferably makeup, nails, skincare as well.
At least 4 years' experience as a licensed Esthetician, including successful spa experience with strong results in building clientele, up-selling, rebooking, and retailing.
Having a passion for educating, learning, and mentoring others is an absolute must Other critical skills sets include:
leadership, communication, organization, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
