The Facilities Laborer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings/grounds, while also performing other duties to include but not limited to:
repairing flooring, drywall, and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.
).
The Facilities Laborer is responsible for conducting all job duties in accordance with agency policy and all safety protocols while supporting the overall objective of meeting the expectations of the agency.

Qualifications:
Follow safe work practices.
Must be able to take initiative and ask questions.
Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers.
Must be reliable and punctual (this includes having reliable transportation and consistent work attendance).
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Assist crew members with construction work as required.
Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner.
Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth.
Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces.
Maintain equipment.
Perform site clean-up.
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
Ability to work in all types of weather.
Consistently demonstrate exemplary principles of customer service and teamwork.
Maintain a safe, tidy and sanitary building and all other common areas.
Ensure that the property is free of trash, debris.
Ensure the cleanliness of the dumpster areas and preparation for trash pick-up.
Must be able to stand, walk, and complete physical labor for up to eight hours per day.
Follow instructions from supervisors; assist workers; learn from on-the-job training.
On-call may be required This ad is not all-inclusive of the role of the Facilities Maintenance Technician or the policies of Heartland Child and Family Services.
