The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings/grounds, and performs highly diversified duties to include but not limited to:
repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.
), and HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.
).
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting all job duties in accordance with agency policy and all safety protocols while supporting the overall objective of meeting the expectations of the agency.
This positions also constructs and repair building frameworks as well as structures, doorframes, partitions, rafters, cabinetry, and siding.
These are a just few examples of the types of onsite tasks this position is responsible for completing.

Qualifications:
Follow safe work practices.

Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.

Must be reliable and punctual (this includes having reliable transportation and consistent work attendance).
Inspect and repair roofing sub-structures, sheeting and framing.
Maintain watertight integrity of entire building envelope, including windows, doors, parapets, and sub grade construction; replace water damaged insulation, sheetrock, and ceiling tiles.
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
Ability to work in all types of weather.
Consistently demonstrate exemplary principles of customer service and teamwork.
Maintain a safe, tidy and sanitary building and all other common areas.
Ensure that the property is free of trash, debris.
Ensure the cleanliness of the dumpster areas and preparation for trash pick-up.
Ensure the best possible appearance of each office prior to new employee move-in.
Advise supervisor of items needing additional attention in the facility; i.
e.
ripped carpet, torn flooring, window or door repair, graffiti etc.
Respond appropriately to emergencies, according to policies and procedures.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Must be able to stand, walk, and complete physical labor for up to eight hours per day.
Follow instructions from supervisors; assist workers; learn from on-the-job training.
On-call may be required Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.
).
