Leading and managing business development activities for 3M Government Marketing - Sales within the United States Air Force and defense prime contractors Building 3M divisional relationships with subject matter expertise to maximize agency engagement Analyzing the market and associated trends and build positions for expansion of 3M products Identifying, developing, and executing pipeline of opportunities and engagements to realize key sales targets and metrics Delivering on annual growth target Building and developing broad, deep and strong executive-level relationships with the United States Air Force and defense prime contractors Identifying and communicating United States Air Force trends. Attending and participating in relevant trade associations and tradeshows Using government domain expertise and knowledge to increase customer awareness of 3M's capabilities Collaborating with 3M Government Affairs, 3M Government Contract Compliance and Government Customer Service Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Five (5) years of relevant work experience in business development and/or program management Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Prior acquisition experience with requisite certifications or equivalent industry expertise/experience Knowledge of government requirements, budgeting and procurement practices Experience with Salesforce Proven track record of success and accomplishment in chosen endeavors Experience working in a highly matrixed organization Preference toward hiring veteran or someone with defense contractor experience
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
