We are looking for laborers with experience in paving and finish rakers to join the JDP Team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Reads and sets grade markers following construction plans.
Operates and ensures proper use of GPS equipment.
Installs T-Post onsite and collects control points to set up job.
Monitor grade to guide earth moving equipment operators in sloping and fill embankments.
Operates and understands the use of a variety of measuring instruments and hand tools.
Observes excavating activities to verify conformance to marker references and notifies equipment operators and Foreman of deviations.
Interacts and professionally communicates with crew who facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of the equipment to complete confirmation of grade specifications for the construction project.
Initiate onsite drone flights.
Provide topographical surveys for dirt calculations.
Troubleshoot and support all survey and machine control and laser systems in the field.
Assist GPS Coordinator with field training in the proper use and maintenance of GPS equipment.
Assist GPS Coordinator in maintaining an accurate inventory and maintenance of all survey and GPS equipment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS /
Qualifications:
High school diploma, general education degree (G.
E.
D.
), related trade school education, or 1
years of related experience.
Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards, including proper ergonomics and shoveling techniques to prevent work-related injuries.
Must have the ability to operate hand tools.
Project a positive and cooperative attitude by building and maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers, customers, inspectors, and the public.
While on a jobsite, you must always wear proper attire including safety vest, safety glasses when appropriate, long pants, hard sole/close toed shoes, and reflect a clean and presentable image.
Trustworthy and dependable, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality required.
Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
Successfully pass a drug screen and provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

WORKING CONDITIONS This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs.

This job requires the ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favorable job conditions.

Most jobs are Monday - Friday, beginning at 7:
