Sequence has been exclusively retained and is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer / Project Manager to join the burgeoning practice of an innovative environmental consulting firm.
The organization has developed, patented, and proven a new remedial technology built around the thermal treatment of contaminated soils. The technology has the potential to change the dynamics of contaminated sites that often are subject to having no other option than traditional dig and haul remedial efforts.
This is currently one of the most exciting opportunities in the niche environmental industry.

While company corporate offices and primary physical operations are based in California and Nevada, projects are located nationally and this position could be based remotely anywhere in the domestic United States with reasonable travel.
We are being specifically tasked to aggressively seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer (PE required). Someone with technical skill set and capable project management abilities to lead and assist in planning, directing, coordinating and implementing project activities to ensure that goals/objectives of the firm s current and future environmental investigation and remediation projects. Assuring they are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Ideally, this is an individual experienced with remediation actions and management of Federal Projects as well as a diversity of regulatory concerns.
Essential duties of the role include:
Responsibility for project and task management including scheduling, cost controls, and cost tracking, preparing technical reports, development and field oversight of remedial actions, developing field operation and field sampling procedures, implementation of soil and groundwater investigations/remedial efforts
Responsibility for the presentation of information to regulatory agencies, for overall quality assurance/quality control, and maintain direct and primary point of contact with clients/regulators
Assisting in business development and preparation of proposals/presentations, and assistance in staff development/mentoring in technical areas
Developing an area of expertise and reputation as a technical resource for support and application of the firm s innovative technology.
Provide support toward design specifications of the technology and assist in developing strategies for successful bench-scale pilot testing, working closely with the Head of Remediation Infrastructure.
Minimum qualifications include:
Education:
Bachelor s or advanced degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or similar field.
Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in MS Office Suite products, strong communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operators, technical staff, and subcontractors.
Capabilities:
Familiarity with Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study, Proposed Plans, Records of Decision, Remedial Designs, Remedial Action Completion Reports, UFP-QAPPs, and Sampling Plans. Ability to write project work plans and reports summarizing environmental investigation and remediation work.
Knowledge:
Understanding of soil properties and the various types of soil and groundwater contaminants commonly encountered in a wide variety of mediums and applications at sites.
Other characteristics:
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time for client meetings/site visits and field oversight during active projects
Desired Professional Certification:
Registered professional engineer Required. Ability to obtain 40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher
