The Information Officer I (Specialist) will serve as a bilingual (English-to-Spanish) translator and spokesperson in the Employment Development Department's (EDD) Public Affairs Branch (PAB), Media Services Division.
This position requires fluency in English and Spanish languages, familiarity with news media techniques, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Under the general direction of the Information Officer II, Chief of Media Services, the Information Officer I (Specialist) will perform a variety of duties in fulfillment of developing, translating, and distributing department-related information and messaging to news media entities in both English and Spanish across multiple channels.
Position exists in downtown Sacramento.
