Do you want an opportunity to forge lasting relationships with local businesses who would benefit from hiring adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)? Are you a great communicator who can get real, tangible employment results for people with disabilities? Then keep reading! WHO ARE WE? Strategies to Empower People is a 100% employee-owned company that operates in the Greater Sacramento area, Yuba/Sutter/Placer counties, and North Bay region! We have been providing services to adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) since 1994 and are the largest provider of our type in the area! We believe that every moment has potential, and we work tirelessly to ensure the people we serve are given every opportunity to be as independent as possible in their homes and in their communities.
No two people we serve are alike so we are looking for employees who are adaptive, creative, and who thrive on the success of others! WHAT IS THE JOB? The Program Manager/Job Developer works alongside an experienced team of Directors, Managers and field staff to provide Independent Living Services and employment services for the Intellectual and/or Developmentally Disabled (I/DD) adults our agency serves in the greater Sacramento area! This position will provide direct supervision and training to our field staff while also working directly with the people who choose Strategies to Empower People for their services.
Aside from fulfilling a managerial role for our staff this position will have a strong focus on developing our employment services and Tailored Day Services programs - this means reaching out to local businesses, assessing the skills and placement for our clients, and creating plans and reachable employment goals for the people we serve! Being a strong communicator is a MUST for this role! We want someone who isn't afraid to hit the pavement with our clients and field staff while also being comfortable having back-end conversations with the Sacramento business community regarding job opportunities for adults with disabilities.
On top of being a strong advocate for our clients the Program Manager/Job Developer will provide any and all managerial support for our field staff and will supervise a caseload of individuals.
Working with their staff the Program Manager/Job Developer will conduct assessments and placements for current and potential clients, train and support staff on their caseload, and meet all regulatory and agency requirements.
