Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field and minimum of six or more (6+) years of experience as a Process Engineer OR Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field and minimum of two or more (2+) years of experience as a Process Engineer OR Ph.D in Chemical Engineering or related field and minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Process Engineer Technical understanding of bioprocess unit operations and equipment for chromatography, ultra-filtration, virus filtration and dia-filtration Experience with specification, design, procurement, and commissioning and qualification of cGMP biopharma equipment and systems Working knowledge of support utilities such as chilled
water, tower water, HVAC Ability to make decisions and work independently to develop and implement state-of-the-art solutions into production processes Understanding of process controls and automation is a plus Demonstrated leadership and people skills to work in multi-disciplinary teams Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively and promptly with all levels of the organization Previous experience as a Project or Process Engineer in various capital projects Previous experience in a biopharma manufacturing facility. Position Description:
Be responsible for supporting Purification unit operations (Filtration, Chromatography and Virus Filtration) for both KGFS and KGPF processes Work with cross functional teams to develop and implement technology improvements Lead cross-functional teams in support of capital project execution through all phases (conception, design, equipment fabrication, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), commissioning and qualification, process development and final process demonstration) to ensure completion of engineering deliverables on schedule and within budget constraints Manage design/engineering and construction contractors and equipment vendors Ensure compliance with industry and company engineering standards and cGMPs.
