Business Specialist(Paid Membership Site) - Leading Manufacturing Corporation (Sacramento, CA)

Primary responsibilities of the Business/Cost Specialist are to prepare and maintain time-phased budgets, establish earnings plans and develop estimates at completion of assigned government and commercial aerospace projects.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50% - Without appreciable direction, apply earned value management, finance and accounting expertise to develop new financial reporting concepts and techniques on a major defense program.
Must be able to exercise judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Budget and track program cost performance (external and internal financial reports) using a combination of mathematical and Excel skills.
Interpret and analyze Integrated Master Schedules and the impact on resources, costs, and risks.
Perform risk based analysis.
30% - Interface with Integrated Product Team members and Program Manager on financial issues using a combination of written and verbal communication skills.
Secondary Job Functions:
Create financial spreadsheets and input data in Program Management Information Systems.
Interface with management and customers on financial matters.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and ten (10) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable
Qualifications:
Demonstrate knowledge of Earned Value Management techniques.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Understanding of scheduling and risk analysis is preferred.
Also The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various levels throughout the company.
