Summary:
Medical Record Chart Control:
Pulls and files high volumes of patient records and documents.
Patient Chart Creation and Maintenance:
Performs a variety of functions related to processing, maintenance and security of hospital patient health records.
Clerical
Responsibilities:
Performs clerical functions related to ongoing department operations and the coordination of interdepartmental and intradepartmental service and communication.
Significant experience as a receptionist in a Health Information Management department preferred.
LIMITED TERM ASSIGNMENT (Approximately 12 Months) Education:
High school graduation or equivalent.
Course work in Medical Terminology required.
Completion of course work in Health Information preferred.

Experience:
Two (2) years prior experience in an acute care medical setting.
Significant office/reception experience in a health care related field required.
