Intern Pharmacist - (Sacramento)
Duties include dispensing, script verification, overseeing of technicians and interns and pharmacist consultation services.
Job Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Initial review of new orders input by technicians against the hard-copy prescriptions.
2.
Verify orders for appropriate dosage, reviewing reports on drug interactions and duplicate therapy.
3.
Check final packaged product against the label.
4.
Compound prescriptions as needed.
5.
Consulting with medical professionals on patient therapies and outcomes.
6.
Package and assist with shipping orders as needed.
7.
Data entry of orders when necessary.
8.
Assists the billing department to ensure all prescriptions are properly billed and charged.
9.
Performs pharmacist function after hours on call.
